NEOMED publishes a short, closed prerequisite list of exactly 30 semester credit hours: 8 of biological and life sciences foundations courses and labs, 8 of general or inorganic chemistry foundations courses and labs, 8 of Organic Chemistry I and lab and Organic Chemistry II and lab, 3 of biochemistry, and 3 of physics, either algebra-based or calculus-based. The university catalog page confirms the total, stating that acceptance requires candidates to complete 30 semester hours of prerequisite coursework prior to matriculation, so the five lines above are the whole list and nothing else is a prerequisite here. Each prerequisite needs a C or better, and prerequisites may be in progress at application but must be finished before matriculating as a D1. A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited US or Canadian university is required. On numbers, NEOMED recommends no lower than a 3.00 overall undergraduate GPA and a 3.00 science GPA, with a projected average class GPA around 3.50. The DAT is required and must be from a test taken within three years of February 1 of the admission cycle; the page recommends a minimum score written as 16 (350) or 17 (370), which pairs the retired 1 to 30 numbers with the current 200 to 600 scale in force since March 2025, so read the parenthesised figure as the live one rather than converting anything yourself. Applications run through ADEA AADSAS. The personal statement is capped at 4,500 characters.
