YUCDM is new, enrolling its first class in July 2026 into a three-year DDS, and its requirements live in the 2026-2027 catalog PDF rather than on a web page. Candidates must present at least three full years of acceptable work from an accredited college or university, not less than 90 semester hours: English 6, General Chemistry 8, Organic Chemistry 8, Biology or Zoology 8, Biochemistry 3, Physics 3, Electives 54. "All courses in chemistry, biology and physics must include a laboratory section and be taken for a grade, rather than pass-fail." Four years of college work is preferred, three is the minimum. All candidates must obtain "acceptable scores" on the DAT, no number published; the Canadian Dental Aptitude Test is also accepted. A complete set of credentials is transcripts, DAT scores, and three letters of recommendation, two from previous science professors. A formal standardized interview is required. The catalog states no shadowing requirement, so the baseline shadowing line is left standing rather than guessed at.
