Misericordia's prerequisite list is short and unusual in what it omits: Anatomy and Physiology I (4 credits, lecture and lab), Anatomy and Physiology II (4 credits, lecture and lab), Microbiology (4 credits, lecture and lab), Biochemistry (3 credits, lab not required), Genetics (3 credits, lab not required), Statistics (3 credits), Medical Terminology (1 credit, letter graded). No general biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, psychology or English is listed. "Prerequisite courses must have received any grade of 'B' or higher. All prerequisite courses must have been completed from a regionally accredited college or university within the last 10 years from entry into the program. Applicants may apply with no more than two prerequisite courses in progress or planned." "Any 'C' grades or lower are not acceptable and will result in an applicant being disqualified for that application cycle." Pass/fail is not accepted for any prerequisite including medical terminology; a prerequisite may be repeated once, but all science grades count toward the science GPA. GPA minimums: "Overall GPA = 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)" and "Science GPA = 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)." Baccalaureate or graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution required before matriculation; no advanced placement. Testing: "GRE, GMAT, or MCAT examinations are not needed to qualify for entry"; no PA-CAT or CASPer is mentioned. Rolling admission: the 2026-2027 cycle opens April 30, 2026 and closes April 1, 2027; accepted applicants must meet all criteria by June 1, 2027 for a July 2027 start. TOEFL required where English is not the native or home language.
