"Although clinical experience is not required, preference is given to applicants who have direct patient care experience," and the program states "there is no requirement for a predetermined number of hours (or months) of health care experience to be earned by an applicant." The roles it names as examples are physical therapist, respiratory therapist, emergency medical technician or paramedic, nurse, medical assistant and certified nursing assistant. Treat the absence of a floor as a competitive question, not an exemption.

A short prerequisite list by PA standards: a sequenced anatomy and physiology pair with lab, two semesters of general biology, two of general chemistry with lab, one of microbiology with lab, and one course of either organic chemistry or biochemistry. Each prerequisite needs a C or better, and the bachelor's degree must be earned from a regionally accredited U.S. institution no later than August 1st. Two of the requirements are locked: for both anatomy and physiology and microbiology the program states "No course substitutions are accepted for this requirement." On grades the program asks for an overall GPA of "3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale)" with a Biology, Chemistry and Physics GPA of "3.0 or greater," and says preference goes to applicants at or above 3.2. On testing, the GRE is required, not optional: "Official GRE scores for the General Test (verbal, quantitative, and written essay) are required to be electronically submitted to CASPA through ETS," using program code 0467 for Savannah, and the program adds that "No preference will be given for specific GRE scores." The PA-CAT is not mentioned. No recency window on prerequisites is published on this page.
